I have been married to my love, Michelle since 2001. We have a son, Phoenix (sports fanatic), and a daughter, Anberlin (tumbler extraordinaire). When I'm not hanging out with teens, I enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, family game nights, coaching my kid's team sports, yelling "Boomer Sooner" and being with my family.
I was heavily impacted by being raised in a ministry family and a christian home. My father served as a youth minister and pulpit minister throughout my childhood years so I proudly wear the PK title. I have always been amazed by God and how faith in God can change a life. The final nudge for me to pursue my calling in ministry came while I worked as an electrician at Tinker Air Force Base. A co-worker asked me to tell him the story about the big boat and all those animals (among other stories)... I haven't looked back since that day! Through out my years in ministry, I have been blessed with so many amazing opportunities to serve God's people and have had many great mentors that continue to pour into my faith journey.
I believe that Hebrews 11:1 is such a great reminder when Paul says, "Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." This verse reminds us to live with confidence and assurance. When we live with this hope in the unseen things about God, it will show in our relationships, rhythms, and milestones of life.
I began working for The Hills in February 2018 after 14 years of full-time youth ministry in Texas and Oklahoma.
My hope for the future of The Hills is that we continue to be a relevant light to the lost in an ever-changing culture. I pray that every member at The Hills will see the value in sharing their faith in all circumstances no matter their age or background.
