Dr. David Fraze
Director of Student Ministries/Senior Staff
David is the Director of Student Ministries for The Hills Church of Christ. In this role, David works with Middle School, Senior High and College students, staff, volunteers and parents assuring that each student is introduced to Jesus Christ, equipped for life and eternity, and is assimilated into the overall Kingdom of God.
David received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible (1991) and Masters of Science in Bible and Ministry (1994) from Lubbock Christian University, completed equivalency Masters of Divinity work from Abilene Christian University (2000) and completed his Doctorate of Ministry in Youth and Family Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary (2005).
He is a frequent presenter at youth conferences, public school trainings and various student ministry events across the country. He has served as a post-doctoral fellow with the Fuller Youth Institute and continues his work with the Sticky Faith initiative (www.stickyfaith.org). He has contributed articles for Youth Worker Journal, Youthspecialties.com, ENGAGE, the quarterly journal of the Center for Parent and Youth Understanding and the Fuller Youth Institute.
Before coming to The Hills, David and his family served fulltime with the Green Lawn church of Christ in Lubbock, TX (1989-2001) and part-time with the South Plains church of Christ (2003-2006) and the Broadway church of Christ (2006-2007) in Lubbock, TX. He left full time ministry in 2001 to Direct the Youth and Family Ministry Program at Lubbock Christian University and served in that role until accepting the call to join the staff at The Hills in August 2007.
David is married to Lisa who works full time with Community in Schools, is part of the Take 2 drama ministry (www.take2.ws) and Vice-President of Marketing for Parenteen (www.parenteen.com). They have two wonderful children, Braeden and Shelbee.
