Epiphany Church exists to join Jesus in His mission to redeem our city. We see a church committed to making disciples, engaging communities, and spreading the gospel to the hurt, lost, and broken. This commitment leads us to plant other churches Brooklyn and similar urban cities.
There are 680 churches in Brooklyn, serving a population of 2.6 million. 30.8% are between the ages of 25 and 44 years old. The abortion rate is 44%. This population has the largest lesbian population in the nation. 80% of the residents of the specific neighborhood to which God has called us, Bedford-Stuyvesant, identify as African-American or Hispanic.
God has been walking with us as we have begun this journey. He has blessed us with a great meeting place in a place where there are no places. He has brought many to our gatherings who are needing a savior and a community. He has already blessed us with the privilege to baptize new believers who want to commit their lives to the lordship of Jesus.
Pray for us as we go through the ups and downs of being a young, newly planted church - spiritual challenges, financial challenges, facilities challenges. Pray that our outreach and evangelism efforts will put us in touch with exactly the people God wants brought into this effort. Pray for the new believers among us.
