Countdown to December 8
West Fort Worth Campus
The Hills Church is the perfect place for imperfect people. Whether you’ve been following Jesus for a long time or you don’t even know who he is, you are welcome at The Hills. We are not a church made up of people that claim to have all of the answers or to have it all together–rather, we are patient and gracious with one another as we walk together and explore what it means to be more like Jesus. Our West Fort Worth Campus has been a labor of love, prayer and the provision of God. For the last 9 years we’ve been located in the old movie theater off of Las Vegas Trail and while that facility served us well, we have simply outgrown the space available there. We began the journey of building a new home for our campus in 2017 and we are so excited to open the doors of our new facility to the community on Sunday, December 8th! This building will open completely debt free! Join us as we continue pursuing what God has called us to as a church — making and growing followers of Jesus.
About Opening Day
Opening day is December 8! We hope you will join us for one of our three services. It’s going to be like Heaven or Disney World…or a combination of both!
Starting opening day, our service times will be 9:00am, 10:45am, and 12:30pm.
The address of the new building is 2828 Longvue Avenue, Fort Worth, 76108. Click here to open Google Maps and get directions to the building. In addition, see some written direction below.
From the west on I30: Exit Chapel Creek (exit #3) and continue straight through the stoplight at Chapel Creek Boulevard on the access road toward Longvue Avenue. As you continue on the access road you’ll see the church and the entrance to our parking lot on your right.

Just past Game On, you will go under another overpass and will see our church building on the left. Exit the Chapel Creek exit (exit #3) and stay in the left lane. Use the far left u-turn lane at the Chapel Creek Boulevard intersection to u-turn and head back east on the access road. From 820 South: Take Exit 3a to I30W toward Weatherford. Once you’re on I30W begin looking for the Chapel Creek Boulevard Exit (exit #3). Exit the Chapel Creek exit and stay in the left lane. Use the far left u-turn lane at the Chapel Creek Boulevard intersection to u-turn and head back east on the access road. From 820 North: Take Exit 2 toward TX-580/Camp Bowie West Boulevard. Take a left onto Camp Bowie West Boulevard. Continue on Camp Bowie West about a half mile until you reach Longvue Avenue. Turn right on Longvue Avenue. The entrance to the church parking lot will be on your left as you approach I30.
The facility is up to the standard of accessibility required by the city of Fort Worth. From the parking lot to the playscape we’ve tried to think of everything to help make access as easy as possible for our friends and neighbors who have mobility challenges. If we’ve missed anything, please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can assist you!
You know that feeling when you walk into a coffee shop and everyone knows each other? The baristas know your order? We hope our new coffee shop will be just that! It will be open on Sunday mornings and scheduled times throughout the week. We hope you will bring your friends to enjoy this new space! As a bonus, all first-time guests will get a free drink. How fun is that? In addition, we’ll continue to offer basic coffee for free on Sunday mornings.
Our new worship center was designed with community in mind. We’ve heard from you over and over again that the intimate feel of the worship center at West Fort Worth has generated friendships and sparked connections. Thus, our new worship center will seat more than our current one, but not astronomically more, so that we can continue to have our “small church” feel. Outside of that, we are excited for the many new technologies we’re bringing to the space that will help us be able to do more creative elements in our services. It’s a beautiful space. You’re going to love it!
The fact that we’re crazy about kids is reflected in our new building. From the classroom spaces to the enclosed playscape, it’s easy to see we’re serious about having fun with kids. Our goal has always been to make learning about Jesus fun and engaging at every age level. This will continue in our new building – and you’ll notice we’ve taken extra steps to ensure a safe and secure kids area. Our Bible Study Groups will be led each week by trained volunteers in small and large group settings. Our desire is for there to be authentic, relational connections made each week between kids and volunteers. Everything we do on Sunday mornings is centered around planting seeds of truth in the hearts of our kids to make and grow followers of Jesus.
Yes! We’re thrilled to have space in our new building for a Special Needs classroom. This will include sensory-friendly options for kids along with a team of volunteers trained to be one-on-one ‘velcro buddies’ for kids able to participate in Bible Study Groups.
In Student Ministry, everything revolves around the word ‘discipleship.’ On Sunday mornings, our 6th-12th graders are invited to worship at one of our three services. In addition, we believe that significant growth and development happens when we serve others and so we encourage our students to sign up to serve on our Volunteer Team. Practically, this means our students serve in the same roles as adults—Guest Services, parking lot team, Kid’s Ministry, A/V, worship, etc. Then, on Wednesday nights, students are invited back for a Student-only time of worship and fun. We begin with dinner, head to worship and teaching, and then break into Student Groups for discussion and community building (it’s a don’t miss event every week!
We think that learning about Jesus should be fun and engaging at every age! Nursery care is available at every service time and elementary-aged kids are invited to join their families in the Worship Center for the first part of worship. Our kids ministry team will then guide them to their age-appropriate Bible Study Groups before the sermon begins. Stop by The Hills Kids area before service for more information and to check your kids in.
Our parking team will direct you to the closest available spot. We reserve parking spots for our first time guests, so if you’re new to The Hills Church, be sure to let us know!
Our services last about 70 minutes and include music and a message from one of our teaching ministers.
You’ll see people in anything from jeans to more formal attire so wear whatever you feel comfortable in and you’ll fit right in.
